Todd W. Hunnewell
Mr. Hunnewell joined Cunningham, Meyer and Vedrine in 2015. He has a broad range of experience in the areas of medical malpractice defense, professional liability defense and general commercial litigation. He has successful first chair trial experience in Cook County and Chicago’s collar counties. He has also argued before Illinois’ appellate court in the 1st and 3rd Districts. The vast majority of Mr. Hunnewell’s current practice focuses on the defense of physicians, hospitals and extended care facilities in a wide variety of practice areas including emergency medicine, internal medicine, family practice, orthopedics, radiology, oncology, cardiology, pulmonology/critical care, urology, nursing, obstetrics, general surgery and plastic surgery.
Mr. Hunnewell graduated from The DePaul University College of Law, cum laude in 2000 where he served on the editorial staff of the DePaul Law Review and was a member of the board of the Student Bar Association. He was the recipient of DePaul’s Robson Scholarship (awarded to the top 15 students after one year of study) and upon graduation was inducted into the Order of the Coif (an honor bestowed upon the top 10% of the graduating class). Mr. Hunnewell received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University in 1997.
