Joseph C. Sheahan
Joseph C. Sheahan earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School, where he was a Herzog Scholar and the recipient of other academic awards. While in law school, he served as an editor of The John Marshall Law Review and on the Moot Court Honors Executive Board. In addition, Joseph was an active participant in many national moot court competitions, and he has received national recognition for his legal writing and research. He received his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Mr. Sheahan is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Prior to law school, Mr. Sheahan did extensive work for hospitals across the United States and South America. In that capacity, he led and coordinated a busy interventional radiology and surgical departments in all facets of operation. He also received wide-ranging knowledge and experience through his work. Mr. Sheahan uses his extensive medical background to provide his clients a multi-faceted approach to litigation. Prior to joining Cunningham, Meyer & Vedrine, P.C., Mr. Sheahan was an associate with a mid-sized Chicago litigation firm
Mr. Sheahan continues to practice in all areas of civil litigation with an emphasis on professional liability, commercial litigation, and medical malpractice.
