Grace H.E. Zimmerman is an associate attorney at Cunningham, Meyer & Vedrine. Grace works in the firm’s Warrenville office where she focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense and complex personal injury defense.

Grace graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she concentrated in Health Law and Public Interest Law. She took a variety of health law courses, spanning topics from Mental Health Law and Maternal Health Justice to Health Business Administration and Insurance Litigation. Grace was the President of the Loyola University Chicago chapter of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice and the Vice President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. She tutored Legal Writing for first year law students. Through Loyola’s immersive Trial Advocacy courses, Grace discovered a passion for litigation trying mock cases before sitting Cook County judges. This led her to pursue a career at the intersection of health law and litigation in the form of medical malpractice defense.

Prior to law school, Grace attended Santa Clara University where she double majored in Women & Gender Studies and Religious Studies, focusing on religious extremism, human trafficking, and faith-sanctioned violence. She lived and worked in Bodh Gaya, India; Kathmandu, Nepal; and Bali, Indonesia, researching nonsecular human trafficking prevention organizations. After graduating, Grace worked as a Domestic Violence Victim Advocate located inside New York City’s 108th Precinct.
